Why do you need my Social Security Number?
Do you charge my credit card?
DISH Network needs your social security number for a minor credit check to set up your account.
We do not see your credit score or any of your record. All we see is if
you are qualified or not. We guarantee that your personal information is confidential.
While the system qualifying you, it will hold $25 on your credit card for
3 to 5 business days. Note that it is just a hold. There is no transaction
on your credit card statement. This is to validate your credit card.

Can My Digital Video Recorder (DVR) record a show while I watch a different show?
Yes! DISH Network's Digital Video Recorders (DVR) are capable of recording up to 100 hours* of programming on a 120 GB hard-drive. It also includes DISH Video-On-Demand Service that provides the ability to pause live TV, skip recorded commercials and create instant replays. Up to 9-day extended Electronic Programming Guide.

What if there are trees blocking the sky around my house?
As for the trees, the only way to check is to have an installer come out and survey the area. In some rare cases, the trees do block the signal.

Who sends me my monthly bill?
Your monthly bill comes from DISH Network.
10. Can I get DISH Network if I rent? Yes. You need to have landlord permission.

Is there a contract to sign?
Yes. You need to sign a 24-month contract (DHA 24). You must keep at least one qualified programming package for 24 months.

What are qualified programming packages?
Dish Family or higher; Classic Bronze 100 or higher; Dish Turbo HD packages; Dish Latino or higher; Chinese Great Wall TV Package; Arabic Elite Super Pack; Greek Antenna Package Plus ERT; Hindi Mega Pack; Polish Super Pack; Portuguese Brazil Elite Pack; Russian Mega Pack.

Is there an activation fee?
No, if you sign up the 24-month contract. However you will have to pay $99.99 activation fee if you do not sign the 24-month contract.
14. I want International Programming. Is a second Dish required?
No, we will install a "500+ Dish" for you! The "500+ Dish" allows you to receive all your channels (Regular, Local and International) all on one dish.

Do I have to pay for equipment and installation?
No. It is totally free for you because you sign the 24-month contract. All you need to pay is your monthly bill.

No!!! It does not matter who you order your DISH Network system from, your monthly cost will be the same depending on your programming and equipment choices. Again, we do not charge you anything. Dish Network processes your bills.

What if I move?
As long as you move within the United States, we will install a new dish system for you for free. Call Dish Network for detail information before you move.

What if I cancel Dish Network service prior to end of 24 months?
A cancellation fee equals to the lesser of $360 or $15 per month for each
remaining month will apply.20. Do I have to return the equipment if I cancel the service?
Yes. However if you already use the equipment for a long time, it becomes old and out of date. Dish Network may not want you to send it back. Ask Dish Network when you cancel.

Why 24 months?
If you really do not want to sign the 24-month contract, we can still install Dish Network system for you. However the 24-month commitment is the best deal. You will enjoy all promotions and rebates. All promotional deals are not for you if you do not sign the contract. You will have to pay activation fee and installation fee, etc.

Who will install my system?
Dish Network installers will install your system. We set up your account and schedule your appointment.

Do you install on weekends?
Yes. You can schedule your appointment on Saturdays and Sundays.
24.
How soon can you install my system?
If you are lucky you can get your system installed the next day. Usually we install your system between 1 and 7 days.

How many rooms of equipment can I order?
You can order up to 4 rooms of equipment for free. You will receive up to 4 remote controls. Each TV can play different channels. If you want to install more than 4 TVs, you will have to pay for the extra receivers and installation fees.

How much does DISH charges for
additional TVs? How to avoid second room charges?
DISH charges for each additional TV for $5(SD) or $7(HD) per month.
However you have the chance to save the 2nd and 4th TV charges.
If you order a dual tuner receiver for two rooms, please connect your
receiver to your phone line. Dish Network will waive your second room
charges. If you do not connect the receiver to the phone line, you will be
charged $5 per month. To save $5 per month, please connect the phone line.
Why? Because Dish Network wants to sell more “Pay Per View” programs. The
PPV orders go through phone line. If you do not connect your phone line,
they can never get any PPV orders from your remote controls. They waive your
$5 monthly charge to treat your phone line connection. You cannot save the
additional receiver fee. For example: You order a 722 and a 222 receiver for
4 TVs. If you connect your phone line to both receivers, you can save $5 for
the 2nd TV and $5 for the 4th TV. However you still have to pay $7 per month
for the second receiver fee (3rd TV).
27. How can I get the $15/month credit?
Dish Network offers $15/month credit for new customers who sign the DHA-24 contract with a qualified program package
(classic bronze 100 or higher). You do not need to apply for this. Dish Network will automatically give you $15 credit to your monthly bills for
12 months.

How to get your $50 extra bonus?
If you sign a two-year contract with a qualified basic programming package and pass the credit check,
you will be qualified for a $50 visa card bonus. You will receive a
redemption form within two weeks after the installation date. Please note that Dish Family does not qualify for $50
visa card offer. DHA Too, Flex and no contract accounts are not qualified for $60
visa card offer either. Some international channels+Local ($9.99) offers are not qualified for $50
visa card bonus.
